He completed his residency in Internal Medicine from the University of Indiana, Indianapolis, Indiana. He completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology training at Henry Ford Hospital and Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. He is currently a senior staff at Henry Ford Hospital specializing in the treatment of chronic total occlusions, high risk percutaneous coronary interventions and mechanical circulatory support research. He is an investigator in the National Cardiogenic Shock Initiative a multi-center prospective single arm study evaluating the use of early hemodynamic support guided by invasive hemodynamics in the treatment of acute myocardial infarctions complicated by cardiogenic shock

Dr. Ramesh Daggubati is the Associate Chief of Cardiology and Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab and Director of Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program at NYU Winthrop Hospital. Prior to joining Winthrop, he was the interim Chief of Cardiology and Clinical Professor at Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University. He is skilled in all structural heart and complex coronary interventions. He performs transradial interventions and has proctored many physicians across the country and world. He has developed algorithms for management of cardiogenic shock that is used at multiple institutions around the country. He was the principal investigator of the initial transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) trials and continues to participate in multiple clinical trials. Professor Gerald Werner has been Director of Cardiology and Intensive Care at the Klinikum Darmstadt which is a teaching hospital of the University of Frankfurt since 2005. He took up this post following a period of 7 years as Professor of Cardiology at the Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena, where he was Deputy Director of the department and Head of the catheter laboratory.
