Prof. Tarek Helmy

Tarek Helmy, MD, FACC, FSCAI
Dr. Helmy is a Professor of cardiology and director of the J. Gerard Mudd Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, St. Louis Missouri.
Dr. Helmy is a 1991 graduate of Cairo University, Egypt. In June 2000, he completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He completed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at New England Medical Center Tufts University, Boston, Massachusetts. He has served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia, and Professor of Medicine, Director of the interventional cardiology fellowship program, and director of the cardiac Catheterization Lab at the University Of Cincinnati, Ohio. Currently Dr. Helmy is a Professor of cardiology and director of the J. Gerard Mudd Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, St. Louis Missouri.
Dr. Helmy has published several peer reviewed articles and has lectured both nationally and internationally. He has been involved in Clinical Teaching of general and interventional cardiology fellows since 2002.
